the Phillips loop frame

| She was leaning in the shadow of the water tower, battered black steel...her curvaceous frame, step through and ride...I don't know who left her there but am grateful I had the chance to photograph her before she was spirited away to be ravished and modernized. I imagine the many miles, assignations, commutes, flights, pursuits...apple trees and narrow lanes. This gal - a sturdy, graceful and obviously faithful friend. The lady Phillips, before Raleigh. Delighted to have met you....long may your wheels spin! |
